Changes to the Booking Requirements for New Clients
I am always looking for ways to improve your experience with Elementals Massage. Sometimes those improvements are in the form of different techniques during your session for better results, sharing new information to help make better lifestyle decisions, or updating policies to run the business more efficiently. Today we’re looking at the latter.
After researching booking data over the last few years, I found a disappointing trend concerning new client bookings. 40% resulted in no-shows.
This is concerning for a number of reasons, but the 2 most concerning are these: Scheduling and Billing.
Massage therapists are paid for their time. It’s that simple. If my calendar is blocked for an appointment I’m committed to be there. And, if that person never shows up or cancels their booking, I can’t rebook that time so I don’t get paid. (How many of you would be willing to go to the office, hang out for an hour or 2, for free? Yeah. Me either.)
Because of this, as of June 1, Elementals Massage will require all first time bookings to be prepaid. This means that a credit card will be required to confirm an appointment if you are a new Elementals Massage client. A full refund will be given if the appointment is cancelled within the Cancelation Policy parameters. This requirement will not affect existing client and/or bookings, however in the case of existing client no-shows, an invoice will be emailed to you and payment of the penalty will be required prior to your next appointment, as per the existing policy.
I thank you all (new and returning clients) for your understanding and support. And as always, thank you for allowing me to be part of your healthy lifestyle.
