Most common aches and pains can be traced back to muscular or structural imbalance. A lot of these imbalances can be positively affected by rebalancing the pelvic girdle, our center of gravity, via the psoas. The psoas muscle attaches to the side of the T12-L5 vertebra (the low back), runs inside the hip bone, and ends at the top of the femur, (thigh bone) on each side of the body.
The easiest and most effective way to do this that I’ve found so far is by using a device called the Sacro Wedgy, (www.sacrowedgy.com). Used in combination with a simple and passive protocol with the help of your massage therapist, the Sacro Wedgy gently stretches the psoas muscles, along with a few others, to allow the sacrum and hips to balance or become level. By balancing the hips, the body will naturally balance the spine up into the shoulders and neck, and the legs down through the knees and into the feet.
Clients have reported relief from headaches and migraines, shoulder pain, low back pain, sciatic symptoms, knee pain, and even relief from plantar fasciitis symptoms.
